Acceptable use policy

What may not be done with the service.

Part of the Terms of service. It applies to marketers, brands and anyone holding an invitation.

Effective 20 September 2026 · TTL Media Private Limited · Part of the Terms of service

Who this applies to

This policy is part of the Terms of service and applies to everyone who uses Shopmycode: marketers who share links, brands who publish offers, and anyone who holds an invitation. It says what may not be done with the service. The Marketer code of conduct adds what good sharing looks like.

Traffic that is not allowed

Bots, scripts or paid click farms. Self-referrals and referrals from accounts you control. Forcing or faking a click, a scan or a result. Incentivising people to open a link or sign up without the brand's stated permission. Cookie stuffing, hidden frames, redirects that disguise where a link goes, and any attempt to defeat a store's or a network's rules.

Results from such traffic are reversed when found, at any time, and the account may be closed without notice.

Content and claims that are not allowed

Claims the brand's page does not make: prices, discounts, guarantees, 'approved for everyone', 'no risk'. Impersonating a brand, a marketer or Shopmycode. Misleading previews (a title or image that promises something the page does not). Content that is unlawful, defamatory, hateful, sexual, or aimed at children.

Regulated products (credit, insurance, investments, health, alcohol, tobacco, gambling, medicines) may be promoted only with the wording the brand approved and where the law allows; the brand is responsible for its wording and the marketer for using nothing else.

Offers and pages that are not allowed

Brands may not publish offers for prohibited goods or services, pages that collect personal data unlawfully, pages that install software without consent, or pages that change their content after approval to something a marketer would not have agreed to share. A brand must have the right to place the snippet on any page it places it on and must describe it in its own privacy notice.

Use of the service itself

No scraping, probing, load testing or reverse engineering. No sharing of accounts or sign-in codes. No interference with other users' links, campaigns or invitations. No use of the service to send unsolicited messages in bulk.

Groups and messaging platforms

Sharing in a group you administer or belong to is what the service is for. Adding people to groups without consent, broadcasting to lists that did not opt in, or violating a messaging platform's own terms is not, and may lead to your links being paused.

What happens on a breach

Depending on severity: a warning, reversal of results, pausing of links or offers, withholding of amounts that came from the breach, or closure of the account. Earned rewards that are unrelated to the breach remain payable. We will say what was found and why.

Reporting

To report abuse of a link, an offer or a brand's name, write to legal@ttlmedia.in with the link. We reply in writing.
